On September 10th, the voters of Senate District 11 made history by recalling the Senate President – the first time a state legislator has been recalled in Colorado history.

In the Navy and Air Force, Bernie Herpin took an oath to defend our Constitution and as our state senator, he will continue that fight.
Here at home, Herpin has served our community in many capacities through the years.
Herpin served on City Council and as president of the Pikes Peak Firearms Coalition, which he helped found.
Additionally, Bernie has held many leadership positions at his home church.
For the last 25 years, Bernie Herpin has volunteered with the Colorado Springs Police Department serving on the Senior Victims Assistance Team, Handicap Parking Enforcement Unit, and DUI Enforcement Team.
In the recall election, Bernie Herpin earned the backing of law enforcement with the endorsement of the Colorado Springs Police Protective Association.
Bernie’s top priorities are to put in place harsher penalties for violent child predators by passing Jessica’s Law in Colorado and supporting legislation that restores and protects the rights of law-abiding citizens.
Bernie and Linda live in Colorado Springs and have three daughters and six grandchildren.
